Well, today is the last day of March and the final day of the first quarter of the year!
I hope the first three months of the year have been good for you and you’re progressing with your plans, both business and personal.
We’re working on several new additions for the Membership Website and look out for a change in the Newsletter, Gold Hot Sheet and Monthly CD delivery…it’s been a long time coming; however both Neil and I are happy that it’s the right thing to do now.
Plus, it’ll help you with the development of your won business no matter what experience you already have.
** Maximising Your Profits Using The Work of Others **
Long gone are the days when you cold sell just one ebook and make a really decent income from that one book. If you use any form of paid advertising to promote the typical ebook then you’ll see the costs eat into your profits pretty quickly.
However, ebooks continue to be our favourite routes into new markets and we ALWAYS use paid marketing to promote them.
How on earth do we continue to make substantial profits?
Simple, we use our 4×4 profit pulling system.
Part of that system is a process that has been used and talked about for many years now and that is offering an immediate upsell to another product at the point of sale or just after the sale.
As your customer is already in the buying frame of mind it is far easier to make an additional sale at this point then any other.
What if you don’t have another product to offer yet?
Simple…in the new markets we enter we often don’t have a second product available to we use a very simple technique to increase our profits.
I search for an affiliate product that is:
1) Very related to what I am offering
2) Pays out a high commission
3) Is a popular product and converts well
I then recommend this product on the DOWNLOAD page for my own product. However I don’t just put an image or link to it I do one of two things.
I either:
a) Write a short review and recommendation for the product
b) Create a short video reviewing and recommending the product.
In most cases the video review gets the better clicks and conversions, although due to time constraints I can’t always create a video.
So, if you’re selling just one product and are finding it hard to make a decent profit then today I task you to find a relayed affiliate product, put a review on your download or thank you page and make a note of the results.
It’s a simple process to do, but will you do it?
** It’s Been A Busy Time **
March has been a very busy, but very satisfying month. I’ve had a number of people ask me if the economy is damaging our business and I can say that it isn’t across all the businesses we run.
BUT, there is a caveat.
The reason we’re not seeing a drop off is that we refuse to be drawn into negative conversations and what I’m seeing as a blame culture for the current position of the economy.
Yes, sectors are suffering, yes some businesses are suffering HOWEVER as a business owner it is MY responsibility to not let it effect my business.
When talking this week to someone who’s business is suffering I asked what 5 things he’s done this month to bring people into his business.
His answer….”I have my adverts that I’ve always run but they’re not working“!
Sorry to say but doing what you’ve always done won’t be enough in this new emerging economy. You have to stand out from the crowd and make yourself THE ONLY person you clients and customers should be doing business with.

One of the 5 things he could have done is contact his past customers with a reason to come back to his business this month. People are still spending, they now need more of reason to spend with you…doing what you’ve always done and hoping they’ll come back to you (or your website) won’t work.
Now is the time to be proactive with your marketing.
